A feature article titled "The Potential of Atomistic Simulations and the Knowledgebase of Interatomic Models" by Ellad B. Tadmor, Ryan S. Elliott, J. P. Sethna, R. E. Miller and C. A. Becker has been published in JOM, the member journal of The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS). The article describes the main objectives of the KIM project and its status as of July 2011.
