SNAP now available on OpenKIM

28-Feb-2020

The spectral Neighbor Analysis Potential (SNAP) is a machine learning interatomic model developed at Sandia by Aidan Thompson and co-workers. A portable model driver for this potential based on the implementation in the LAMMPS package was developed by KIM researcher Yaser Afshar. About 20 SNAP parameterizations (models) for this material systems were uploaded by Aidan Thompson and the members of the group of Shyue Ping Ong at UCSD. These models can be used in all simulations codes that support the KIM API.
