OpenKIM will be hosting a symposium titled "Interatomic Models in Materials
Simulations: Theory, Standards, Infrastructure, and Applications" at the 2023
Society of Engineering Science (SES) Annual Technical Meeting to be held in
Minneapolis, MN, October 8-11, 2023. The conference website is 2023ses.com
, and a description of the symposium can be found by following the "Technical tracks/minisymposia" link.
We invite you to submit an abstract for a talk about your work. Any topic concerning the development of interatomic models and related infrastructure and methods would be within the scope. Presentations should be 20 minutes long, including Q&A.
The symposium will also include an OpenKIM tutorial, including new developments such as Crystal Genome tests for arbitrary crystals, the Model Comparison Tool, and support for bonded force fields. This is a great opportunity to learn how to leverage OpenKIM for your own work!
Abstracts are due May 19th, and can be submitted on the conference website. On the submission form, there is a drop-down menu that will allow authors to select our symposium (numbered 5-1).
